Maryland Land Title Association Pre-Licensing Course Information
The MLTA Education Committee is pleased to sponsor a 30-hour Pre-Licensing Course approved by the
Maryland Insurance Administration. This mandatory program of instruction is designed to adequately prepare you for the
examination. Upon successful conclusion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion qualifying you to take the licensing examination.
If you successfully complete the Pre-Licensing Course, but are unable to pass the State Licensing Exam, you will be able to attend a "Comprehensive Review" class at future date at no additional cost. NOTE: If the total registration for this proposed course is not sufficient, MLTA reserves the right to withdraw this proposed course offering and refund the cost of registration.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: In
the event that government offices in Anne Arundel County are closed on the day
of the class, the class will be cancelled. If opening is delayed, the seminar
will be held at its regularly scheduled date and time.
Rescheduling will be determined later. Examination and Licensing Examination Reservation Testing will begin on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Candidates should go to: www.psiexams.com or call: (800) 733-9267 to download/request a Candidate Information Bulletin - the CIB explains all necessary details. Because PSI is transitioning the Maryland Insurance Program, they anticipate updates and edits to the CIB during the first several weeks. Please keep checking the website for the most up to date information. Each exam is $70, and consists of a general and state portion. (UPDATE: If you pass one part, you only have to repeat the failed portion on any subsequent exam attempts within a year of the initial attempt.) UPDATE: PSI will accept education completion certificates via fax during the transition period through July 1, 2007. They are anticipating candidate data from the current vendor to update their records. However, candidates may also bring the education certificates or a failing score report to the test center to prove eligibility. Beginning July 1, all education providers will submit student education completion information electronically. Details will be coming soon!
